Q: How do I check availability and rates at your hotels ?

A: You can use the Book Online tool on the top right hand corner on the website. Select location from drop down, select preferred hotel from drop down, enter the date of arrival then click on Book Now. The results of your search will be displayed showing the hotels that have availability to match your criteria.

Q: I can not find the dates that I am looking for, what should I do ?

A: If you can not find preferred dates then it is likely that the hotel does not have availability. Please contact reservations at the specific hotel that you would like to stay in, as there may be a wait list option. Alternatively please try another date.

Q: How do I make a reservation ?

A: You can make a reservation on our website by selecting the hotel you prefer, then go to the Book Online option on the top right hand corner, fill in required search criteria, and select Book Now. Alternatively bookings can be made directly with the individual hotel or by contacting our Central Office. All contact numbers for the hotels can be found on our website.

Q: Are the prices quoted per room or per night ?

A: Our prices are normally on a per room per night basis, however special offers & packages may be on a per person basis and may include meals, activities, or extras. Pricing is fully explained in the rate description on our website, or will be verbally confirmed to you by a member of our reservations team when making your booking.

Q: Is breakfast included in my rate?

A: Breakfast is not always included in all of our rates, in some instances rate is on a Room only basis. Rate descriptions will clearly state whether breakfast is included.

Q: Do rates include all taxes ?

A: Yes all prices are fully inclusive of VAT at the current rate. No service charge applies in any of our hotels.

Q: How will I know if my booking is confirmed ?

A: When you have completed the booking process and paid your deposit, you will receive a booking confirmation by email, which will include your reservation details along with a confirmation number. Please note that written confirmation of bookings made directly with any of the hotels must be requested at the time of booking.

Q: I did not receive a confirmation email what should I do ?

A: Please contact our Central Office on reservations@fbdhotels.ie or 01 428 2400. Alternatively contact the hotel for which you have made the booking, full details on our websites.

Q: What deposit payment is taken at the time of booking ?

A: A standard booking deposit of 10% per booking is charged to your credit card at the time of booking.

Q: Do you charge a booking fee ?

A: No booking fees are applied to on line reservations.

Q : What is the cancellation procedure ?

A : Reservations can be cancelled upto 24 hours prior to your date of arrival only by contacting the hotel directly. If you do not cancel your reservation then in the event of non arrival we will charge you for the first night’s accommodation by debiting your credit card.

Q: How to I amend or change my booking ?

A: Bookings can be amended or changed by contacting the hotel directly, noting that additional nights will be subject to availability, and room & package rates may vary from those offered at the time of original booking.

Q: Do I get my deposit back in the event of cancellation ?

A: Deposits will only be refunded if the reservation has been cancelled 24 hours or more prior to your arrival date.

Q: Are my credit card details secure ?

A: Yes, we use a secure protocol for processing credit card payments online.

Q: How do I make special requests ?

A: There is a Special Requests drop down in the booking form on our website, please select your request and this will be processed along with your reservation, and will be included in your confirmation email.

Q: Are children welcome at all hotels ?

A: Yes, and there are special rates for children sharing accommodation with 2 adults on our booking engine. In some of our hotels, kids clubs are available during Summer holiday and mid term break periods. Please check details with the hotel directly.

Q: Are there cots available ?

A: Cots can be selected in the Special Request section on the booking form or by contacting the hotel directly.

Q: Do the hotels permit pets on the premises ?

A: Animals are not permitted at any of our hotels, with the exception of guide dogs.

Q: Are your hotels open all year round ?

A: Opening times vary by property, please check with the hotel directly to confirm that it is open during holiday periods, and the Winter months.

Q: What time is check in & check out ?

A: Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 12 noon. You can request early arrival and late departure at the time of booking, this will be subject to hotel availability and should be confirmed directly with the hotel. Self catering accommodation check in and check out times may vary. Please contact the hotel directly for more information.

Q: What time are meals served in your restaurant ?

A: Meal serving times vary in each hotel, please check on the website for the specific opening times & meal service periods at our hotels. We do recommend that you make advance reservations for weekends and busy periods to avoid disappointment.

Q: Can I request adjoining rooms ?

A: Some but not all of our hotels do have adjoining rooms, which can be requested at the time of booking on the Special Request section of the booking engine. Please note that requests made on the website at the time of booking are not guaranteed, and availability of adjoining rooms will be subject to availability on the day or arrival.

Q: Can I request a smoking room ?

A: Smoking rooms can be requested on the Special Request section of the booking form but can not be guaranteed and are subject to availability on the date of arrival.

Q: What types of rooms are available ?

A: Room Types may vary slightly from hotel to hotel, but all of the hotels have double, twin and single rooms, executive rooms & suites. Details of the maximum number of adults & children per room, and in room facilities are on detailed on the booking engine. For further information please contact the specific hotel in question.

Q: Is there car parking available at all hotels ?

A: Car parking is available for hotel guests at Castleknock Hotel, Tower Waterford, Faithlegg House Hotel. There is no guest car park in Temple Bar Hotel but a public multi-storey car park is located directly opposite the hotel with reduced overnight rates available.
